The Orchestre National du Capitole de Toulouse is one of the most accomplished and admired French orchestras of our time. The ensemble's impeccable rapport and artistry, spearheaded first by Michel Plasson and then by Tugan Sokhiev, have earned it a level of renown that goes well beyond national borders. Aside from a rich symphonic season in the storied Halle aux Grains in Toulouse—not to mention operas and ballets at the Théâtre du Capitole—the ONCT is regularly invited to the most prestigious stages in France and all over the world while maintaining a strong local presence in the historical region of Occitania, which includes the south of France. Its major projects include DEMOS, for young people; "Tous les matins d'Orchestre," for music lovers with limited mobility; and a neuroscience research project called "Résonnances."
