About

Widely considered to be one of the most well-rounded and passionate artists of his generation, Hofesh Shechter created Clown in less than a year. This remarkable production featuring 10 dancers from his eponymous company questions our relationship with the concept of diversity through audacious choreography verging on a danse macabre. 

The company produced this immersive film version—their first recorded production—two years after the live show. The camera closely follows the dancers, bringing the viewer along for the ride. As Shechter explains, “I want the public to be awakened, to feel my work from inside."
