Choreographed to Reich's Pulitzer Prize-winning Double Sextet, McGregor's beautifully modern work is inspired by Diaghilev's legendary Ballets Russes and their audacious drive to innovate during a period of rapid technological advances. Full of "kinetic excitement," it features multiple captivating figurations—from an "absorbing" female quartet to a solo by Daniel Gaudiello that the New York Times calls "the single finest dance … by Mr. McGregor."
