The 2024 Berliner Philharmoniker Europakonzert in Tsinandali, Georgia With Daniel Harding and Lisa Batiashvili

About

A beloved pan-European tradition for over three decades, the Berliner Philharmoniker's celebrated Europakonzert heads to a different city each year to spotlight some of the many cultural and artistic centers across the European continent. In 2024 they arrive with maestro Daniel Harding in Tsinandali, Georgia—birth country of virtuoso violinist Lisa Batiashvili, who performs one of the most difficult and beloved works for her instrument, Brahms's Violin Concerto. Harding and the Berlin Phil close out this momentous event with one of the only pieces grand enough to suit the bill: Beethoven's Fifth Symphony, which begins stormily with the best-known motif in all of music and ends with an irresistible burst of C-major triumph.

Daniel Harding replaces Daniel Barenboim, who has had to cancel for health reasons.
