The two orchestras of the Verbier Festival under the batons of their musical director and a guest conductor in a program of music by Berlioz, Haydn, and Bizet.
Every year, the Verbier Festival brings together young musicians from around the world to fill the ranks of two orchestras: the Verbier Festival Orchestra and the Verbier Festival Chamber Orchestra, conducted by Charles Dutoit and Gábor Tákacs-Nagy respectively. The festival offers them the opportunity to work with some of the greatest artists and conductors of today’s classical music scene.
This film includes extracts from three of the two orchestras’ concerts, featuring performances of Berlioz’s Le Corsaire, Haydn’s Symphony No. 98 in B-flat major, and Bizet’s Symphony in C major.
