Internationally lauded pianist Eric Lu makes his concert debut at the Fondation Louis Vuitton in Paris! The young virtuoso, who took home the coveted First Prize and gold medal at the 2018 Leeds International Piano Competition at age 20, opens his recital with Mozart's Rondo in A Minor, one of the Salzburg native's moodiest and most Romantic works—a perfect choice to begin an evening of Romantic favorites! Lu continues with Brahms's Op. 118 Klavierstücke, six sublime works dedicated to Clara Schumann, followed by Chopin's stormy and virtuosic Piano Sonata No. 2, including the most famous Funeral March ever composed. For his two encores, he performs Schubert's sublime Impromptu Op. 90, No. 3 in G-Flat Major and finishes with the F-Major Étude from Chopin's Op. 10 set, lightning-quick but with every note clearly phrased, proof of Lu's extraordinary combination of technique and musicality.
