About

Every two years, the Azrieli Music Prizes celebrate excellence in music composition, as well as social engagement and artistic creativity — and you can watch musicians of the excellent Orchestre Symphonique de Montréal perform the winning works from 2024's edition, including two world premieres! Enjoy the remarkable variety on display in these four fascinating pieces, inspired by everything from Canadian landscapes and pre-Hispanic Mexican cultures to Jewish philosophy and the Book of Psalms: Light to My Path by Israeli-Georgian composer Josef Bardanashvili, Kanata by Jordan Nobles of Canada, and the first-ever performances of The Parable of the Palace by Yair Klartag of Israel and Simetrías Prehispánicas by Mexican-American composer Juan Trigos.
