The young Canadian virtuoso Jan Lisiecki performs works by Mozart, Bach, and Chopin at the 2013 Verbier Festival.
On July 23rd and 25th of 2013, Jan Lisiecki presented two memorable concerts at the Verbier Festival. Webcast live on medici.tv, these two are combined here into a single program testifying to the young Canadian’s considerable talent and versatility. Considered by BBC Music Magazine as "probably the most accomplished pianist of his age," Jan Lisiecki has been the recipient of numerous international prizes and has already shared the stage with some of the greatest musicians of the age, including Yo-Yo Ma, James Ehnes, and Emanuel Ax.
Jan Lisiecki performs Mozart’s Piano Concerto No. 20, side by side with Christian Zacharias, Bach’s Partita No. 1, numerous works by Chopin, including the Nocturne in C-sharp Minor, Op. posth., the Études Op. 10, along with other Op. 25 Études.
