Laurence Equilbey conducts Beethoven's Ninth Symphony — With Camille Schnoor, Okka van der Damerau, Benjamin Bruns, Günther Groissböck Insula orchestra

About

Conductor Laurence Equilbey welcomes you to the sublime Seine Musicale for an evening in the company of prestigious lyrical artists. Camille Schnoor, Okka van der Damerau, Benjamin Bruns and Günther Groissböck take on the roles of soloists in the most famous of symphonies, Beethoven’s Ninth! The prestigious stage will also serve as the backdrop for a unique large-scale experiment: during the performance, the set-up of the orchestra will change for each movement, allowing us to observe how differences in the position of each orchestral section impact the listening experience. A celebration worthy of the genius composer’s 250th birthday, with the Insula orchestra, known for its “historically informed” interpretations, and the Accentus chorus…
