The Mahler Chamber Orchestra plays Schoenberg, Ravel, Satie, Debussy, and Mahler – With Karine Deshayes Rencontres Musicales d’Évian 2016

About

Twice celebrated as Lyric Artist of the Year at the Victoires de la Musique, the mezzo-soprano Karine Deshayes offers us an unforgettable musical moment at the sides of the Mahler Chamber Orchestra. The program brings together French airs and music of the Second Viennese School. During the concert, the artists of the Mahler Chamber Orchestra are highlighted as soloists (as with a piano solo work by Satie), chamber musicians (in Webern’s superb arrangement of Schoenberg’s symphony), and as orchestral members (in delectable songs by Ravel and Mahler).
