Now in its second edition, the Karol Szymanowski International Music Competition takes place every five years in Katowice, Poland, crowning winners from an elite pool of competitors in four performing disciplines: piano, violin, string quartet, and voice. The talented laureates receive the prestige of the prize, a potentially career-altering boost, cash prizes from a pool of nearly €300,000, and the chance to perform in this jubilant gala concert alongside the great Marin Alsop and world-renowned Polish National Radio Symphony Orchestra! Our newly minted champions show off their prize-winning skills in works by legendary Polish composer Szymanowski and other repertoire favorites from across the centuries.
