Récital à la Cité de la musique

Menahem Pressler performs Beethoven, Chopin, Debussy and Schubert Récital à la Cité de la musique

About

Born in 1923 in Magdebourg, Menahem Pressler fled Nazi Germany in 1938 and settled in Israel. A founding member of the mythical Beaux Arts Trio, he dedicated his life to music. In addition to the fifty recordings he did with the Beaux Arts Trio, Menahem Pressler recorded over thirty solo albums. He now lives in Bloomington, Indiana, where he works as one of the world's most demanded teachers.

At the Cité de la musique, he performs Beethoven's Sonata No. 31, Chopin's Mazurkas, the highly impressionist Estamps by Claude Debussy, and the Sonata in B-flat Major, "Schubert's sumptuous piano testament" (Isabelle Werck).
