Patricia Kopatchinskaja plays Tchaikovsky's Violin Concerto Tchaikovsky Symphony Orchestra

About

Moldovian violinist Patricia Kopatchinskaja’s incredible musicianship and glittering virtuosity shine in this 2011 performance of Tchaikovsky’s Violin Concerto in D Major. Accompanied by the Tchaikovsky Symphony Orchestra under Vladimir Fedoseyev’s baton, they perform the beloved but devilishly difficult concerto, widely celebrated as one of the greatest of the violin’s repertoire.

As an interpreter, I am most interested in communicating the meaning and inner workings of the music I play. Curiosity drives me to explore many different musical frontiers and I'm ready to take the risks that this process entails.—Patricia Kopatchinskaja
