The Norwegian jazz pianist Tord Gustavsen is guest at the Roque d'Anthéron festival for a quartet performance!
Created in 1980 by René Martin (who also founded the Folle Journée de Nantes), the Festival International de La Roque d'Anthéron honours the piano. If classical music is very present each year, artists from various music scenes, such as jazz or electronic music, are also invited. In 2011, the Festival de La Roque d'Anthéron invited the Norwegian jazz pianist Tord Gustavsen, and his musicians.
The pianist born in Oslo in 1970 has recorded many discs with the label ECM. Sometimes leader of a trio, he is part of a quartet most of the time, with three jazzmen who were present during this concert filmed in 2011 at La Roque d'Anthéron: Saxophonist Tore Brunborg, bassist Mats Eilertsen and percussionist Jarle Vespestad.
