The Trio Sōra plays Beethoven Concert behind closed doors

About

Celebrate Beethoven’s 250th birthday in style with the Trio Sōra in this exceptional live concert from behind the closed doors of the magnificent Fondation Singer-Polignac. The program commences with the early Piano Trio Op. 1, No. 3, written just after the composer’s arrival in Vienna (and later reworked into the Op. 104 String Quartet). As Beethoven's deafness grew worse, his Classical beginnings gave way to a period of remarkable innovation and profound emotional depth, exemplified by the "Ghost" Trio, which rounds out this program: lively D-major movements surround the somber, spectral D-minor Largo that inspired the work's nickname.
