In 2018, the Verbier Festival celebrated its 25th anniversary and welcomed its new music director of the Verbier Festival Orchestra, Valery Gergiev. In this opening concert he leads the Verbier musicians in Rimsky-Korsakov’s spellbinding Scheherazade and the Symphonic Diptych of longtime Verbier Festival-friend Rodion Shchedrin.
