Oksana Lyniv conducts Hubarenko, Stankovych, Beethoven et Tchaïkovski – With Valeriy Sokolov Konzerthaus Berlin

About

Meet up with the outstanding Oksana Lyniv for a spectacular program from the stage of the 2018 Young Euro Classic Festival! The powerhouse Ukrainian maestra, who in 2021 became the first woman to conduct Wagner at the Bayreuth Festival, takes the helm of the Youth Symphony Orchestra of Ukraine—an ensemble she founded herself.

The talented young musicians interpret well-known classics like Beethoven’s sweeping Symphony No. 7, alongside three works by Ukrainian composers Vitaliy Hubarenko and Yevhen Stankovych. Violin great Valeriy Sokolov gifts us with an incredible performance of Hubarenko’s Chamber Symphony No. 1, just one among many highlights in this captivating concert that honors Ukraine’s excellent musical tradition—one that is too often passed over.
