“Verbier” and “Yuja Wang” are two classical stars that brighten the spirits of any music lover. Together, the pair have written unforgettable pages in the history of classical music, including Wang's impressive Flight of the Bumblebee performance in her first concert at Verbier aged 21, and her Brahms collaboration with Leonidas Kavakos in 2013—“an inspiration” for the virtuoso born in Beijing in 1987.
This year, an eclectic program allows the incredible Yuja Wang to display her fiery virtuosity in little-known compositions by Ligeti and Schönberg, as well as her mature musicality in masterpieces by Schubert and Scriabin, and her musical imagination in sublime miniatures by Albéniz. A historical milestone that is not to be missed!
