Yuja Wang performs Schubert, Schumann, Scriabin, and Prokofiev Verbier Festival 2010

About

Famous for her incredible technique and astonishing virtuosity, Yuja Wang brings her incredible intensity to bear on works for piano by Liszt, Schubert, Scriabin, and Prokofiev.

In her rendition of Liszt’s arrangement of Schubert Lieder, Yuja Wang elevates the music's sense of drama, with the melodic lines flying from her muscular fingers. On the edge of madness, her vision of Schumann highlights the composer’s edgy, even disturbing modernity. Then Wang dives into the heart of the Russian soul with works by Scriabin and Prokofiev. Experience a recital bound to leave you thrilled by a truly extraordinary talent!
