About

In 2005, at just 18 years of age, Sergey Smbatyan founded the Armenian State Symphony Orchestra (ASSO). This superb documentary by Agnieszka Biolik and John Blanch follows the evolution of the ensemble, from those early days through its maturation into one of the most prestigious institutions in Armenia, bringing the country’s grand musical tradition to concert halls around the world.
