Dominique Delouche traces the extraordinary artistic career of Yvette Chauviré. Born in 1917, the French prima ballerina assoluta entered the Paris Ballet Opera School at the age of 10 and trained with Boris Knyaseff and Victor Gsovsky. In 1934, she joined the Paris Ballet and gradually climbed the hierarchy of the institution to its highest level, becoming an étoile in 1941.
