Mark Guiliana "BEAT MUSIC" in Miami Bayfront Jazz Festival 2021

About

Relive this International Jazz Day extravaganza, from the stage of the Bayfront Jazz Festival 2021, in the company of Mark Guiliana’s BEAT MUSIC group. American drummer and composer Guiliana is considered a major figure on the world stage in the fields of Jazz, Rock, and Electronic Music. His technical mastery, rhythmic sophistication and musical sensitivity are notably revealed through his discography, as well as his collaborations with such artists as John Scofield, Brad Mehldau, Avishai Cohen, or David Bowie (in his “Blackstar” album) to name just a few.

With BEAT MUSIC, Guiliana, keyboardist Fabian Almazan, and bassist Chris Morrissey are exploring the esthetics of electronics in a subtle mix of groove, dub, as well as samples of vocal and melodic excerpts. This concert follows the release of the 2019 album titled “BEAT MUSIC! BEAT MUSIC! BEAT MUSIC!”, represented with flying colors in the colorful atmosphere of Miami’s seafront.
