About

Trumpet legend Sean Jones returns to lead the incredible NYO Jazz — made up of promising young jazz musicians from all across America — joined by multi-genre singer and bandleader Alicia Olatuja for an evening of nonstop excitement at Carnegie Hall. On the program: the world premiere of a Carnegie Hall-commissioned piece by South African composer Sibusiso Mash Mashiloane, plus classic tunes by Duke Ellington, Thelonious Monk, Mary Lou Williams, Laura Nyro, and more — many in new arrangements!
