The William Parker Organ Quartet at La Dynamo Banlieues Bleues Festival 2017

About

A reference in the New York City jazz scene, bassist William Parker is the star of this high-flying concert from the stage of Pantin's La Dynamo, during the 2017 edition of the Banlieues Bleues festival. After impressive beginnings by the side of legends like David S. Ware and Cecil Taylor, he is now a respected bandleader, a role in which he shines as a leader and unifier of eclectic talents.

Surrounded by the excellent Cooper-Moore on keyboards, the impeccable James Brandon Lewis on tenor saxophone, and the irreproachable Hamid Drake on drums, the composer and his Organ Quartet gift us with a program that rides the line between jazz and soul.
