Master Class with Christian Tetzlaff (I/IV) Bruch's Violin Concerto

About

In a series of four master classes, the internationally-acclaimed German violinist Christian Tetzlaff works with alumni of the New World Symphony (NWS) on some of the most beautiful works for violin of the last three centuries.

Extracts from the time he spent with these accomplished young violinists display Tetzlaff’s renowned musical integrity, intelligence and technical assurance.

NWS alumnus Brian Fox works with Tetzlaff on the first movement of Max Bruch’s Violin Concerto No. 1 in G Minor. First performed in 1866, the work is one of the most popular violin concertos in the repertoire. Fox and Tetzlaff discuss expression in the Romantic style and sound production, among other topics.
