Adolphe Adam’s runaway comedic smash hit returns to the stage of Paris's Opéra Comique, where it premiered nearly 200 years ago! In this 2019 production led by stage director Michel Fau and music director Sébastien Rouland, the three-act comic opera that made its composer an international celebrity—absent from Paris stages since 1894—thrills audiences once more!
