One hundred years after this prologue to the very first issue of The Gramophone, the magazine is recognized the world over as one of the most influential classical music publications. Gramophone’s Editor in Chief James Jolly tells the story of the magazine's first century in the company of a stellar line-up of artists, many of whom are recipients of Gramophone Awards.
