En quelques mots...

Barbara Hendricks rend hommage à Gershwin ! Depuis la scène mythique de l'Olympia à Paris, elle chante quelques-uns des plus grands tubes du compositeur américain : « I've Got a Crush on You », « I Got Rhythm »... Le concert se termine avec un medley d'airs de Porgy and Bess. Des mélodies tellement fredonnées et reprises dans le monde qu'elles ont parfois même éclipsé l'opéra dont elles sont issues :  « Summertime », « Ain't Necessarily So » ou encore « Bess, you is my woman now ». La soprano est aux côtés du trio de jazz formé par Terreon Gully (percussions), Geoffrey Keezer (piano) et Ira Coleman (contrebasse) ainsi que du Guildhall Strings Orchestra.
