The director and choreographer Frederick Ashton reworks the magical tales of Charles Perrault, creating a fricassee of shapes and colors in an ocean of taffetas and tulles, together with the precision of the dancers and the luscious music of Sergei Prokofiev!
The story of Cinderella has never failed to inspire and resonate in the minds of many generations since its publication in 1697. In this version the grotesqueness of the two stepsisters is counterbalanced by the grace of the protagonist and the charm of the Prince. The beautiful and remarkable costumes, as well as the sublime performances of Marianela Nuñez and Vadim Muntgirov in the guise the evening’s heroes, supported by the comic duo of Luca Acri and Gary Avis as the evil stepsisters create the magical kaleidoscope of this remarkable performance!
