The stage is set in a fascinating small puppet theater. Bastien and Bastienne, the young shepherdess Bastienne is afraid of being hurt in love. On the advice of the magician Colas, Bastienne begins to feign indifference to any love at all. It becomes feared that Bastienne's heart has been taken. Between games of seduction and intrigue, the characters are brought to life thanks to the great interpretation of singers and mastery puppet movements.
