In an exceptional session recorded at the New Morning in 2021, the Laurent Bardainne & Tigre d’Eau Douce quartet unleashed unparalleled musical energy onto the stage of the celebrated Parisian jazz club to the delight of an admiring audience. The group was formed in 2018 by Bardainne at the pinnacle of his career as a saxophonist, notably due to his participation in Thomas de Pourquery’s group Supersonic. His talent is illuminated by the meticulous accompaniment of Philippe Gleizes, Sylvain Daniel, and Roger Raspail.
In the course of their respective careers, these talented artists have explored multiple musical horizons: Philippe Gleizes won the third group prize at La Défense in 2001, Sylvain Daniel revived electric psychedelia with his album Pauca Meae, and Roger Raspail collaborated with several artists, including Cesária Évora and Chico Freeman.
