Clarinettist and composer Louis Sclavis and his superb ensemble invite you on an adventure to the everchanging land of jazz improvisation. A legend of the French stage, he set himself apart during the Seventies through free improv and the rediscovery of folk, traditional, and Eastern music. During this bespoke concert at the 2017 Europajazz Festival, he is surrounded by a high flying band.
With Sclavis, this group composed of Dominique Pifarély, Sarah Murcia, Benjamin Moussay, and Christophe Lavergne begins with a set of original compositions, written in a free yet precise hand, before taking us on a musical journey in search of mythical creatures, folklore and stories.
