Louis Thomas Hardin, aka "Moondog", also nicknamed "the viking of 6th Avenue", is a landmark figure in New York's twentieth century music scene. This versatile musician, blinded in a dynamite accident at age 16, left behind several hundred works after his death in 1999, some of which are yet to be translated from Braille.
It is this eccentric and endearing composer and performer that is at the heart of Perpetual Motion, a celebration of Moondog, between live concert and documentary, by Arthur Rifflet. Filmed on two continents, it follows the adventures of French saxophonist Sylvain Rifflet and his counterpart, American saxophonist Jon Irabagon, on their quest in Moondog's footsteps, from New York to Bobigny...
