Contemporary composers' week (14)

May 28, 2023, marks the centenary of Hungarian composer György Ligeti. Recognized for his avant-garde compositions, this innovator is also a fixture of modern cinema, famously beloved by Stanley Kubrick, who used his works in 2001:  A Space Odyssey, The Shining, and Eyes Wide Shut. On the eve of this exceptional anniversary, we revisit era-defining works by Ligeti and his contemporaries.
