Herbert Blomstedt conducts Beethoven — With Martha Argerich Lucerne Festival Orchestra — Lucerne Festival 2020

About

In 1949, a pianist of only seven years old was making her stage debut in Argentina, on that day, she played Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No. 1. Today, the great Martha Argerich (you had guessed it!) invites you to an exceptional concert, live from the KKL Luzern. There, she will perform the work that led her on the road to glory, whose secrets she has untangled over the years, including those invisible to others. The Lucerne Festival returns and so does its prestigious orchestra, under the expert direction of Herbert Blomstedt, with a program that will also include Beethoven’s Symphony No. 3, also known as Eroica.
