Concours de Genève 2023: Flute Semi-Final (Solo Recital) Concours de Genève — International Music Competition

About

The Concours de Genève - International Music Competition, founded in 1939 as the Concours International d'Exécution Musicale (CIEM), is one of the world’s oldest and most prestigious international music competitions. With the aim to discover, promote, and support young talented artists on the way to an international career, the Concours de Genève also has the distinction of spotlighting different disciplines in every edition. In 2023, string quartets and flutists have the chance to compete for the top prizes!

In this first semi-final flute round, discover the seven remaining promising flutists—aged 15-26 and representing an international field—in a solo recital that allows them to show their mettle in a program entirely of their choosing. Following a second semi-final round with a focus on chamber music, competitors chosen to move on to the finals will take the stage at Geneva's famed Victoria Hall for a concerto performance with the world-class Orchestre de la Suisse Romande.
