The brilliant Turkish pianist and composer Fazil Say, described by composer Aribert Reimann as “play[ing] like a devil,” gives a riveting recital at the Fondation Louis Vuitton. On the program are beloved pianistic chefs-d’œuvres by Mozart and Chopin, as well as two of his own compositions inspired by political events in his native land: his 2013 Piano Sonata Gezi Park 2, Say's musical evocation of civil unrest in his native Turkey, and his 2017 Rhapsody-Concerto, Yürüyen Köşk, in its French premiere.
