Trio Messiaen and Trio Xenakis perform Escaich and Shostakovich Festival Singer-Polignac

About

On the occasion of the 2024 edition of the Festival Singer-Polignac, the Messiaen and Xenakis trios, long-time artistic accomplices, join forces to perform an intimate and moving arrangement of Dmitri Shostakovich's Symphony No. 15 in A Major, his final foray into the genre. Opposite the Russian masterwork, we find Vitrail ("Stained Glass Window") by French contemporary composer Thierry Escaich, a spectacular musical fresco specially commissioned for this concert.
