Rainbow Shadow, Tribute to Jef Lee Johnson in Créteil Sons d’Hiver 2013

About

In this moving performance at the 2013 Sons d'Hiver festival, bassist Reggie Washington and drummer Patrick Dorcéan pay tribute to their former bandmate Jef Lee Johnson, a respected guitarist who had collaborated with the likes of George Duke, Chaka Khan, D'Angelo, Ronald Shannon Jackson and Michel Portal, and who had passed away just three weeks earlier. Joined by guitarist Jean-Paul Bourelly to perform under the name "Rainbow Shadow", the trio perform a selection of Johnson's songs, plus a few of their own.
