Master Class with Thomas Adès (II/II) Fondation Louis Vuitton

About

One of the most respected composers of this century, Thomas Adès is also a renowned pianist and conductor — and he brings his full set of skills to this fascinating chamber music master class, part of his Autumn 2024 residency at the Fondation Louis Vuitton in Paris! Two young French ensembles get the priceless opportunity to learn from one of our most creative musical minds: in the first video of the set, the Duo Ermitage study Adès's own "irresistible" and "mischievous" Lieux retrouvés (Los Angeles Times), and here in the second, the Trio Pantoum take a closer look at Ravel's briliant and challenging Piano Trio in A Minor, whose second movement inspired the ensemble's name…
