Emile Parisien, Vincent Peirani, and Andreas Schaerer present an audacious trio consisting of voice, soprano, sax and accordion. The thought-provoking and energetic music of this trio explores the varying timbres of their instruments and evokes a vast array of emotions.
The saxophonist and composer Parisien, is regarded today as one of the most emblematic musicians of the growth and originality of jazz in France and throughout Europe. He gained a large amount of success through the 2000’s with his quartet and daring compositions inspired by the likes of Igor Stravinsky, John Coltrane, and Richard Wagner. Vincent Peirani is a French accordionist, clarinettist, and composer. He collaborates regularly with musicians of such standing as Daniel Humair, Michel Portal, and Emile Parisien, and on three separate occasions was awarded the Victoires du Jazz in 2014, 2015, and 2019. As a composer, he works equally on scoring for movies as he does on French song with such acts as Sanseverino and Les Yeux Noir. Andreas Schaerer is a Swiss singer, performer, and composer. With his vocal virtuosity, he explores a plethora of musical techniques and traditions such as sprechgesang, beat boxing, and scatt. He often performs with musicians including Bobby McFerrin, Soweto Kinch, Emile Parisien, Barry Guy, and Mars Williams.
