Come and celebrate Richard Galliano’s fifty-year career with this splendid accordion recital in Paris's magnificent Salle Gaveau!
Entitled Passion Galliano, directed by Samuel Thiebaut, honors the French accordionist, bandoneonist, and composer Richard Galliano, a close friend of Claude Nougaro and Astor Piazzolla (whose work features in his program here). Galliano combines his own compositions with works by renowned composers, including Satie and Chopin, varying styles and inspirations (romantic music, modern music) as well as rhythms and nuances. He also covers classics of the French chanson, such as Barbara’s Ma plus belle histoire d’amour, or Serge Gainsbourg’s La Javanaise. Whether on stage or in the audience, the accordionist fills the whole room with his melodious phrasing, and we can’t help but hum along to these exhilarating tunes!
