Israeli cellist Amit Peled, one of the most sought-after pedagogues on his instrument, works with Mariona Camats on Saint-Saëns' Le cygne ("The Swan") in a masterclass at the Villa Sandra Lesa.
Le cygne ("The Swan") is the thirteenth and last movement of Camille Saint-Saëns' The Carnival of the Animals. Written for accompanied solo cello, the movement is also the only part of The Carnival that the composer allowed to be performed during his lifetime. The beautiful music was later set to choreography and rechristened The Death of the Swan, and is also known under that name.
