En quelques mots...

Découvrez l’opéra Albert Herring de Benjamin Britten, mis en scène par Richard Brunel et coproduit par l’Opéra Comique et l’Opéra de Rouen Normandie, ôde à la jeunesse inspiré de la nouvelle de Maupassant, Le Rosier de Madame Husson. L'œuvre peint l’histoire d’un jeune homme, Albert Herring, délaissé par la société alors-même que celle-ci l’a érigé en modèle de vertu. Dans cet opéra, c’est la jeunesse qui fait voler en éclats l’hypocrisie d’une société qui se veut bien pensante et qui craint justement la nouvelle génération, au moyen d’ un humour grinçant.
