Opened in 1959, the Louisiana Museum of Modern Art, nestled on the shore of the Øresund Sound not far from Copenhagen, has become the most visited art museum in Denmark. In 1976, a concert hall with an acoustic setup ideal for chamber music was installed—and it is in this idyllic backdrop that renowned musicians Paul Meyer and Eric Le Sage performed this pristine 2008 concert, interpreting Carl Maria von Weber's Grand Duo Concertante for Clarinet and Piano. Weber composed the three-movement work between 1815 and 1816, conceiving it as a technical showpiece to highlight the skill of the two musicians—which is exactly what it does here in this virtuosic and intimate recital!
