Trumpeter Paul Merkelo and pianist Matt Herskowitz delight us with a rediscovery of Gershwin’s world through their own arrangements of the legend’s works, a bridge between classical music and jazz. Both performers are recognized as leaders in their respective fields: Merkelo is one of the leading trumpeters of his generation, while Herskowitz excels both as a pianist and composer.
